DECEMBER 2008
December has once again been such an amazing month—our favorite
time of year! Bria had a great time this year helping me
decorate the house for Christmas!
Our month began with a fun trip to Arkansas to Tyler and Alex’s
birthday party. Their party was at the skating rink which
brought about another first for sweet Bria—skating!! We had her
wheels so tight that she was practically just walking, but she
had so much fun! They didn’t have skates small enough for her
tiny feet, but that didn’t slow her down a bit!
Our Christmas celebration began the weekend before Christmas at
Nanny and Papa’s house. All of the Aunts and Uncles and cousins
get together there for dinner and to exchange gifts. Bria is
usually the entertainment for us all and this year was no
different. She loves attention and sure gets lots of it!
On December 23rd we surprised the kids with a fun family date.
We didn’t tell them where we were going but we told them they
had to get all dressed up. As we all (Bud, Julie, Jake, Hayley,
Grace, Jen, Josh, James, Kaden, Bria, Ashlyn, Landen, and I)
stood in the entry way of our house trying to “decide which cars
to take” on our big family date, a huge SUV limo pulled up in
front of the house. The kids FLIPPED out!! The limo took us to
Bricktown to eat a Spaghetti Warehouse where we had reserved the
trolley car just for all of us. We had a wonderful dinner and
then went all over looking at Christmas lights and drinking hot
chocolate. What a special family memory!
On Christmas Eve, Gaga, Papa, Aunt Glenda, Daniel, Uncle NaNa
and Cousins Jeff and Jessie came to stay. We had a house full of
family, which is always exciting! I think Miss Bria was more
excited about Christmas this year than ever before! She had
asked Santa for a “pink dolly.” Boy, was she excited when she
woke up Christmas morning to find that Santa had once again
pulled through and gotten her a pink dolly that talks. After
playing with Santa’s present for a while, we separated presents
for Bria, Kaden, Jake, Hayley ad Grace and we went around one at
a time opening presents. This turned out to be quite a challenge
for Little Bria. She could not wait until her turn—she would
slowly start tearing the edge of the paper so that when it was
finally her turn her packages were half opened already—it was so
funny! She was very excited about everything she got—several
dolls, arts and crafts supplies, a new purse, some movies, ad
Easy Bake Oven and some clothes. Bria had another very blessed
Christmas!
We are so excited about the new year ahead! We look forward to
our newest addition—Bria’s little sister, Abree! We are still
not able to share photos or details, but we pray we can by the
next update. Hopefully soon little Abree will have her own
website her on myadoptionwebsite.com. We wish you all a Blessed
