SETTLING IN . . .

What a wonderful month! Bria has had the opportunity to meet almost all of her family, and they are all so in love with her! We had a combined welcome home and 1st birthday party for her about a week after we returned, and it was so much fun! She had her own little cake to dig into, but she didn’t get as messy as we thought she would. Later in the month, she was honored with a wonderful shower at our church where she received so many incredible gifts! We are so very blessed!

About 6 days after we returned home, she started to WALK!! We were so excited!!! She still is only taking about 6-8 steps at a time, but she’s on her way! She finally has some teeth--two little teeth on the bottom have peeked through since we returned home. She is still just as vocal as ever and has learned to say mama, dada, bubba, gaga, papa and many other words that only she can interpret. She plays peek-a-boo and blows precious kisses—it is so adorable! She is still a great eater and doesn’t seem to know when to stop. She has gained about 2 ˝ pounds in the 5 weeks she has been with us—making her now a huge 18 ˝ pounds (less than 3 percentile on the growth charts….).

On September 18th, we took her and Kaden to see Disney on Ice at the State Fair, and afterwards she rode the carousel for the first time. She loved it!!! On September 29th, we took them both to “A Day Out With Thomas” where we rode on a normal sized train that was pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine (Kaden was in heaven!).

Words cannot describe what a tremendous blessing precious Bria is to our family! We cannot imagine life without her, and we thank God each day for bringing her into our family. She is adapting miraculously and continues to blossom each and every day. We are so very, very thankful for our little bundle of joy!!!!!!

Welcome Home Sweetie!!!!

So happy to be home!
