Christmas 2006 was one of the most memorable and special Christmas’ yet! To have our family together was truly an overwhelming feeling of completeness and joy. Bria was such a precious girl on Christmas morning—unwrapping presents and tearing the paper into microscopic pieces and then finally realizing that there was something for her inside the paper! She would get so excited each time. We had all the family at our house for Christmas (grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins) making it even that much more special! What an awesome gift Bria is to our entire family!

Christmas for Bria began early in December at my Christmas party at work where Santa brought gifts to all the children. This was her first experience with Santa, and it was okay for about 5 seconds and then she “lost it.” He looked a little too different than her daddy for her to sit on his lap for long! Her next experience with Santa was at James’ work Christmas party where she received another gift from Santa, and she reluctantly sat on Santa’s lap with her big brother for a short time (very short time!). On Christmas Eve, we went to see Santa at the mall, and she did great with him this time, but as you can see in the picture, she enjoyed sitting next to Santa rather than on his lap!

December also brought two other milestones to little Miss Bria…. 1st trip to Chuck E Cheese and 1st haircut. She enjoyed Chuck E Cheese a little more than the haircut! She rode every ride she could at Chuck E Cheese and even danced with Chuck E Cheese himself! Her 1st haircut started out uneventful but ended in a wrestling match… In the end, we got a cute little haircut, so all went well!

Bria is still growing so fast in so many ways! She still loves to eat EVERYTHING, she has 8 teeth now, she understands nearly every command we give her, and she can point to her eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. She says “up” when she wants you to pick her up, she says “more” when she wants more, and she says “amen” at the end of prayers before we eat (SO CUTE!). She is so in love with her big brother, Kaden! She imitates everything he does and gives him big bear hugs and kisses all throughout the day. She is so friendly everywhere we go—talking and waving to everyone who goes by. She gets so much attention from everyone!!

We want to thank God once again for another amazing month with our little sweetie! She has brought unexplainable joy to our lives thus far, and we look forward to many wonderful years ahead to love her and show her what a precious gift she is!
