What a busy but wonderful month! We started the month with the Oklahoma City FCC Chinese New Year Party on March 3rd. Bria was able to meet back up with a baby from her orphanage that recently returned from China and now lives near us in the Oklahoma City area. They are 4 months apart and were in the same feeding group at their orphanage. We have pictures of them in the orphanage at meal time right next to each other, and now here they are all the way across the world and back in the same town—amazing what God does!!

We traveled to Nanny and Papa’s house for a visit earlier in the month and Bria had a great time! She loved running and playing in their huge yard out in the country. She rode all over their land in a little old wagon and even got to ride in an old carriage—she had so much fun!

For spring break we went to Missouri to visit Uncle Bud and Aunt Julie. Bria loved the big park down from their house and had a great time taking turns sliding and swinging with her precious cousins Jake, Hayley and Grace. We got to visit a new Chuck E Cheese that had many exciting rides and games. We went out for ice cream one night, and it is official that she does NOT like ice cream…..she thinks it is just too cold..??.. She makes a horrible face, shakes all over, opens her mouth and hopes for it to fall out—very funny sight!

Bria made her first visit to the zoo this month, and she was so intrigued with all the animals. She truly enjoyed herself—we will definitely be visiting often. She even got to ride the carousel with big brother and sister. So much fun!!

The final highlight of the month was a visit to the circus….her first, of course. She rode the pony carousel, waved at her big brothers as they rode an elephant, ate cotton candy for the first time (she didn’t like it at all—must have felt strange to her as it melted??), and watched the wonderful show around her. Her favorite was a dog show. She yelled “puppy” and waved the entire time they performed. She was so excited!

She continues to amaze us every day with her charming personality. She is so incredibly friendly. I will see her in her carseat waving at cars as they go by, and when we are outside in the front yard, every car that drives by gets a sweet little wave from her. She says “hi” and gives a smile to everyone in a store or restaurant that looks at her and many people who do not. She truly loves people!! She says so many words now it is hard to count, and she has many 2 word combinations that pop up daily. Her only 3 word combination is still “I yuh yuh” which always melts our hearts!!

Our final exciting news for this month is that little Miss Bria will someday be a big sister. We submitted our initial application for another China Angel and have received acceptance back into the adoption program. We cannot submit our completed paperwork to China until September (this is a requirement from China to be home with the first baby for one year before you can submit your paperwork for another baby). We estimate that we will be getting Bria’s little sister the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010. Bria will be 4 years old and will be one incredible big sister!!!!!
