What a great month we have had!!! Our first fun event was on
March 15th. Bria went to her friend Averi’s birthday tea party.
The girls drank pink lemonade in little teacups, played games,
ate cake and had a great time!
Easter was wonderful! We went to Missouri and spent a few days
at Aunt Julie and Uncle Bud’s house. Bria and Kaden got to play
with their cousins Jake, Hayley, and Grace. We also got to see
GaGa, Papa, Uncle Josh, Aunt Jen, Aunt Glenda and Cousin Jesse.
We went to the BIG local park and played for a few hours, we
went to one of Jake’s baseball games, we had an egg hunt, and we
had a huge Easter lunch before heading back home. Bria was sooo
excited that the Easter Bunny stopped in for a visit while we
were at church and he filled up her Easter basket!! She got a
baby Cabbage Patch doll that looks just like her and has the
same birthday as she does and she got lots of candy and treats.
We had such a fun, fun weekend!
The following weekend we went to the Shrine Circus and had a
great time! Bria loved the brown bears that walked on their back
legs, rode bikes and one even rode a motorcycle! She also loved
the puppy show and the elephants. She was so excited the entire
time. She is very dramatic when she is excited—it is so funny!
Bria had a few firsts this month. One was a trip to the dentist.
She had her teeth “tickled” and counted. She did not want to sit
up in the big chair by herself so she sat on my lap part of the
time and stood up part of the time. She was a big girl! The
other “first” she had this month was not so pleasant (at least
not for mom!!!!). Big brother, Kaden, decided he wanted to
become a barber and his first client was his beautiful sister….
He said that Bria’s hair was falling down in her face, so he
asked her if it was bothering her. She said that it was, so he
asked her if she wanted him to cut it off, and she said YES! The
rest is history… He cut the sides off above her ears and cut her
ponytail off just above the rubber band. He was very proud of
his work and told the babysitter that he wanted to “surprise”
mom and dad (which he certainly did!). He also told her that he
was going to see if mom wanted a haircut when she got home—I
declined the offer! I almost DIED when I saw her!! We called and
got her in for a haircut that same evening, and now her hair is
a little shorter than when we first got her, but she of course
still looks adorable! Life is always an adventure with these two
precious children!!! We are so blessed! |
