We had a very memorable September and October! We relaxed most of September to keep ourselves full of energy for Disney World.

In mid-September we were so excited to reunite with the Achey family—one of the families we traveled with to China. Their beautiful daughter, Sophie, is one week older than Bria. The girls’ cribs were right next to each other while in the orphanage. Sophie’s big sister, Lindsey, had a softball tournament here in town, so we met there, watched her play ball and let the girls play. They played under the bleachers, on the bleachers and sometimes….in the dirt. They had a great time together sharing toys and cheerios. It was so nice to see their family again!

On September 27th, we started our magical journey to Disney World. The flight was only 3 ½ hours—piece of cake compare to our last flight… We met up with Mike, Kathy and Maddy at the airport, got settled in our hotel, and rested before our Disney marathon began. We went to all four parks, but spent at least a part of every day at Magic Kingdom. The girls and Kaden had a wonderful time!! They got autographs from many, many characters, watched a different parade each day, watched several fireworks displays, and of course, rode lots of rides. We all enjoyed the Disney stage shows and 3-D shows as well.

One evening, we went to Mickey’s Halloween Party, and the kids had a great time. They dressed up, and we went trick-or-treating throughout Magic Kingdom. They had a special nighttime Halloween parade, and the characters in the parade were all dressed up in different costumes. After the parade, there was a special Halloween fireworks show that was amazing.

Bria’s favorite ride was Cinderella’s carousel which we rode approximately 10 times the seven days we were there. She giggled from the time the ride began to the time it ended. Our last day there, they let us stay on and ride five times in a row, and she was still sad to get off of her “horsey.”

Bria was a bit scared of the characters at first, but with time, she started to warm up to them. For the first few days, she liked to “give them 5” and move on. She did give a kiss to both Minnie and Mickey, and she received kisses from Snow White, Cinderella and Belle. Every time she saw Donald or Daisy Duck she would start yelling “Quack, Quack” and flapping her arms like a duck. When she saw Minnie or Mickey she would give them a huge wave and yell “Mouse!” By the last day, she was hugging all of the characters. She had such a great time!

We truly had an amazing vacation, and we were so fortunate to spend it with the Quintanilla family.

As of September 14th we are officially DTC (Dossier to China) for China Princess #2. We have not yet heard when our Dossier was logged in, but are happy to be officially done with the paper-chase! We estimate the wait will be approximately three years, and in the meantime, we will continue enjoying every precious moment with our amazing children. We are so very blessed and thank God for these incredible gifts he has given to us.
