JULY 2008

July has been lots of fun! After Bria’s party, her friends Tyler and Alex stayed a few days and we had so much fun with them. The kids played and played. We went to Hafer Park one evening and had a great time playing there, too.

We took a trip to GaGa and Papa’s house on July 3rd. The kids love to help GaGa with the chickens and turkeys. They played in the sand box and got dirty! We went on a walk and saw lots of cows and a huge earthworm. The kids were fascinated! We had lots of fun!

For the 4th of July, we traveled with GaGa, Papa and Aunt Glenda to Aunt Jen and Uncle Josh’s house. Aunt Jen works for the country club that was hosing the LPGA. We watched a pro golfer from China named Shanshan Feng (same last name as Bria had in China). As she was walking off the green, she saw Bria and said “Oh, so cute.” We watched a beautiful fireworks display that night at the golf course. Bria said, “I like this, mom” during the show. She really enjoyed the fireworks this year!

On July 5th, Bria’s actual birthday, we went to our friends Kimberly and Clay’s house. Cristi, Shawn, and the boys came as well, so Bria, Kaden, Sam, Maggie, Tyler and Alex got to spend the whole day playing together. They had so much fun. Kimberly made Barbie cupcakes for Bria and the kids, and Bria got to open a present from Sam and Maggie. She had a great day!!

Bria had her first swim lesson on July 10th. She really loves her instructor, Tracy. She was a very brave girl—she learned how to kick, how to scoop her arms and she really loved jumping in from the side of the pool. She looks forward to every lesson!

Bria has been so funny realizing that she is now 3 years old. She will say, “I three, mommy.” It is as if she just cannot believe that she is finally three. The other day she said, “I three mommy, but I still your baby.” I said THAT IS RIGHT!! She will go up to random people and tell them that she is three with her 3 cute little fingers held up proudly. She thinks she is all grown up now. She doesn’t want to ride in the stroller, because “I three, mommy.” And she wants to brush her teeth all by herself because “I three, mommy.” She doesn’t need a high chair anymore and she doesn’t need to hold my hand anymore when walking, or she doesn’t need help getting her clothes on—all because “I three, mommy.” It is so cute!! We love our big three year old!! She is soooo much fun!!!!
