We have had such an EXCITING month!! The highlight of our month
was our first big family vacation with precious Abree! We spent
five days at Disney World and two days at Daytona Beach and we
had a magnificent time!!! We were so excited to have Aunt Jen
and Uncle Josh with us too—it was their first trip to Disney
World. We left for Florida on November 8th and the fun began!
The kids were so excited about everything…even flying in an
airplane again! We arrived early enough on the 8th to go to
Magic Kingdom and watch the nighttime parade and fireworks show.
It was amazing watching Abree’s big brown eyes take it ALL in!
She was so excited!!!!! She waved at the characters in the
parade and just watched it all in wonder!
For our first full day at Disney, we went back to Magic Kingdom
and were able to meet Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty,
Tinkerbell, and the new Princess Tiana. We watched a daytime
parade, a 4-D Mickey show and rode the Dumbo ride, Peter Pan
ride, It’s a Small World, Cinderella’s carousel and we toured
Mickey and Minnie’s houses. That evening we went to Epcot to
watch another beautiful fireworks show. Abree loved EVERY minute
of the day!!
The next morning, we went back to Epcot and we met, Mickey,
Minnie, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy. Abree was a little scared of
the characters in full costume, but she would at least give them
all a high five. She loved the princesses and fairies…she liked
to see their actual faces. We went to the Finding Nemo Crush
Show and rode the Finding Nemo ride. That afternoon and evening,
we went to Hollywood Studios where we met Buzz Lightyear, Woody,
Handy Manny, JoJo & Goliath, and the Little Einstiens. We
watched a fun Playhouse Disney show and then went over to the
Streets of America that were covered in millions of dancing
Christmas lights. The lights danced to beautiful Christmas
music, and they even had “snow” falling in the streets. The kids
had so much fun dancing around and playing in the snow!!!!
The next day, we were off to Animal Kingdom where we met Baloo
and King Louie from the Jungle Book. We went to an awesome
Finding Nemo musical, watched a parade, went on an African
Safari where we were able to see lots of jungle animals, and
watched A Bugs Life 4-D show. Later that day, we went back to
Magic Kingdom to ride the Buzz Lightyear ride, the Teacups and
Cinderella’s carousel again. We watched another amazing
fireworks show and called it a day! A WONDERFUL DAY!!
Our final day at Disney was spent at Hollywood Studios where we
were able to meet the Power Rangers! (Kaden was in Heaven :)) Abree has also grown to love the Power Rangers, so she enjoyed
meeting them and showing them some of HER moves! She would say,
“Power Rangers Roar!” and strike a little pose…it was so cute!
We also met Mr. Incredible, Frozone, and a Green Soldier from
Toy Story. We went to two stunt shows and then to the Block
Party Parade where we danced and had a great time with all the
Toy Story characters—so fun!! That night we went to Fantasmic—an
amazing fireworks and water light show. A perfect ending to our
magical stay at Disney!!
After all the Disney excitement, we headed out for a few days of
relaxation at Daytona Beach. The weather was so beautiful and
perfect…mid 70’s. The kids fell in love with the beach and the
beautiful ocean! We truly spent two days on the beach, playing,
swimming, and RELAXING!! Abree helped Bria, Kaden, Daddy and
Uncle Josh build a sand castle and we buried each of the kids in
the sand…so much fun! I thought Abree would be scared, but she
was ready to be buried after watching Big Brother and Sister go
first. She loved to stand in the shallow water and let the waves
hit her tiny little legs. She was intrigued with the ocean!!!
What a perfect ending to our wonderful family vacation!!!
We are so excited about Thanksgiving!! We leave Thursday morning
for Gaga and Papa’s house. Abree will have so much fun feeding
the chickens, turkeys, goats, and dogs. Not to mention, she
LOVES to eat, so she should really enjoy her first Thanksgiving! |
