LAST ENTRY

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” ~Proverbs 22:6

It’s so hard to say goodbye.

This website has meant so much to our family. It has served as a diary of the hopes wishes and dreams of a family…fulfilled by a little girl who was sent to us by God. It has also been a travel journal of the experience of a lifetime, a family “Journey to Jia” all the way around the world. It is a baby “book” for our precious youngest daughter and for Jia it is a story of a strong-willed, brave, determined and beautiful little girl who deserved the love of a family and attention to her many physical obstacles—she got it.

We always thank our entire extended families for offering us unconditional love and support in all aspects of our lives. For this particular chapter special thanks need to be given to Dr. Stephen Storer, Diane Burfield- Reeves, the dedicated caregivers at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Jennifer and Joe K. Erin Neylon, Ellen Meyers, Ms. Leslie, the Griffins and the Magicians of WCY , Grant and Shelagh, Nona and Grandpa, Rebekkah Waye, Nelson Lie, Ye Ru Hui’s (Jia’s) foster family and Social Welfare Institute in China and the very brave birth mother that gave Hui-Hui (Jia) a better life and future, such profound love!

For the continuing adventures of Jia and her sisters please visit our blog: www.parnhamfamily.blogspot.com

As always, we give highest thanks to our Lord, Jesus Christ, through which all things are possible.

No one in the world ever says it better than Elton! (below)

The Circle of Life

From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There's more to be seen than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done

Some say eat or be eaten
Some say live and let live
But all are agreed as they join the stampede
You should never take more than you give

In the circle of life
It's the wheel of fortune
It's the leap of faith
It's the band of hope
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle, the circle of life

Some of us fall by the wayside
And some of us soar to the stars
And some of us sail through our troubles
And some have to live with the scars

There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round

-Elton John

There is not much left to say except….and she lived happily ever after…
