FROM THE MIDDLE KINGDOM TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM

“When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you...”
~Ned Washington

Jia has now fulfilled her dream of meeting “Mick Mouse” . We went on a 1 day up and back trip to the Magic Kingdom…

Have I told you lately of my most un-American sentiment? I HATE Disneyworld. It combines a bunch of things I don’t care for: 1. Being away from home 2. Being in a large crowd 3. Heat and humidity 4. A horrible feeling of the money just draining out of your wallet (not to mention your VISA card).

That being said every little kid needs to see the wonder of the “House of the Mouse” even if their Mom is a misanthrope.

Jia had a blast!!!!!! We hit all the usual spots, like Katie before her the Snow White ride scared her to tears. Her favorite ride was “It’s a Small World”.

When you see the pictures note that Jia has little pink glasses on. No, they are not real, but she wears them everywhere she goes to be like Katie.

Next post…Jia goes to Kindergarten!

SCHOOL STARTS ON AUGUST 20TH: FOR MRS. P’S NEW STUDENTS:

China is literally translated into English as the Middle Kingdom. It is also sometimes said that it is called the Middle Kingdom as the Chinese have long believed it to be the center of all things in the world.

If you have to watch TV turn on the 2008 Olympics being held in Beijing, China. Sports, Geography, History, what more can you ask for?)

The moment every child waits for-meeting Mickey!

The Parnham Sisters

Jiminey Cricket was the first character Jia met at Dinsey-not sure what she was thinking!

It's all about the dark haired princesses--Jasmine Rocks!!!!
Where was Mulan?

Right outside Mickey's House!
