Wow! Eleven months with our sweet Claire. October was a very big month as Claire had her 3rd birthday. It was a princess party-of course-as our girl is princess crazy (our trip to Disney World probably had a little to do with that!). She had so much fun and said she was going to eat five pieces of cake, but she didn’t even finish the first with all the excitement! October also brought Claire her first chance to trick-or-treat. She was Snow White as you can tell from the picture and wore her costume for 12 hours straight! (We started the day at Laura’s school party.)

As you can tell, we also had some professional pictures made this month to mark her 3rd birthday. Celebrity Kids is the studio that did these shots and we think they did a great job. Next month we will share some Christmas poses.

On Sunday we went to our nephew Kyle’s wedding. He married a lovely young lady named Lauren, and Claire called her “Princess Lauren” the whole night. Since Kyle was wearing a tux, she surmised that he was Prince Charming! We asked her if he was Prince Kyle, but she said “No, he’s Prince Charming.” We’ll see if they lose their title over Thanksgiving when they show up in their jeans! Being a princess or a prince I feel may have a lot to do with the clothes.

This time last year we were waiting on pins and needles wondering when our TA would come. Now, she is home and it feels like she has always been a part of our lives. But, there is still that part of us that remembers the wait; that remembers the longing; that remembers the pain of not holding her and that makes us cherish her all the more. She is the miracle our family prayed for.
