Here we are updating our website for our 4 month Gotcha/Adoption Anniversary, and we don’t know where the last month went! Time is going by so fast. Claire had a good time this last month as she got to have her brothers and sister home from school for an entire week for spring break. Claire also got to spend a lot of quality time with her cousins: Rachel, Alex, Katherine, Caitlin, Ryan and her siblings, Chase, Connor, and Laura at the zoo. Everyone had so much fun, and Claire was the center of attention. Connor and Alex had a great time just being boys, and Claire thrived on the extra attention of all of her cousins taking turns on who got to hold her hand while we were walking. She loved all of the animals. We all were especially interested in watching the mama gorilla with her new baby. It was so cute that Claire didn’t want to leave. Unfortunately for the boys, (and fortunately for the two Moms) we ran out of time before we got to the reptiles. We got a year-long membership, so maybe next time we can squeeze them in.

We were all a little disappointed that Claire had to miss her first Easter egg hunt because of a virus. She did get to go to church on Sunday morning though, and she was quite excited about her new dress and shoes. The Easter basket and candy was definitely a big hit, and we further confirmed what we already knew-- this little girl loves chocolate! We had some professional pictures made before Easter, and we were very pleased with the results (we are posting a few of those too).

When we look at Claire, we are amazed that this little girl has only been in our family 4 months. She truly takes our breath away. We waited so long, and now that she is here, it feels almost too good to be true. We loved our time in China except that we missed our other children immensely. We loved our travel-mates, our guides were the world’s best, and the Chinese people were so kind and friendly. Somehow we suspect we will one day be in that part of the world again ;)
