It’s been a pretty low-key day today. After breakfast, we got
the call from our agency representative letting us know that
Grace’s Visa paperwork has been reviewed and approved. We’ll go
to the U.S. Consulate tomorrow to take the oath and collect her
Visa for the trip home on Friday.
We had an opportunity to visit the local pearl market in
Guangzhou, and so we able to find very nice necklaces for Tammy
and for Grace, when she gets a bit older.
The rest of the day was spent together enjoying a sunny day and
beginning to prepare for the trip home. We are anxious to see
Max and Tammy’s mom Shirley, who has been at our house without
power for six days due to a huge wind storm that hit last week.
We learned earlier today that power has been restored, and we
were able to make direct contact with Shirley for the first
time. They both handled the extended outage well, but Shirley
has certainly earned a break, which will make her trip to Spain
coming up all the more enjoyable.
Grace is growing more beautiful by the hour. New little glimpses
of her personality are coming out every day. Now, when she wants
something, but is not getting it, she’d developed this Clint
Eastwood steely stare and growl. She can’t do it long without
smiling and laughing, so for now it’s endearing. We’ll see how
long it stays that way!
Because we didn’t take many photos today, we opted to include a
few of her medical evaluation and more of the carvings we saw at
the Chen Academy yesterday.
God Bless,
The Andrews |
