Ahhh! A day of rest after all the activity over the last several
days. We were able to take the day and enjoy Grace completely.
She slept extremely well, only waking once for a bottle and then
right back to sleep until 8 am. She had her doctor’s appt. today
and got a clean bill of health. Tim took the boys swimming while
Grace took her afternoon nap.
We felt the need for a change of pace from the normal hotel
dinner, so Tim, Tucker and Jonah braved the Nanchang roads via
taxi, and headed out for the local KFC. The taxi literally is
inches away from bikes, motorcycles and cars. One hand on the
horn the other flashing his high-beams, which left me wondering
how he was actually steering! The roads here are crazy and most
bikes and motorcycles either have bumper guards for when the
cars bump them or they show definite signs of taking hits.
We arrived without incident and collected a big family dinner
for about $8.00. We couldn’t resist buying Grace a few toys at a
nearby store and then back to the hotel.
Tomorrow we plan on getting out for a little sightseeing and
will take show some pictures of the area, but for now you’ll
have to put up with some more pictures of Grace and the family.
