What a difference another day makes! Grace slept through the
night and woke up around 7 am ready to go. We all got up, got
some breakfast, and then we went with our group to see Tengwang
Pavilion, originally built in A.D.653. It was a beautiful day to
get out and walk around. The boys had a good time shopping for
souvenirs and we were even treated to a short musical at the top
of the Pavilion.
Our CCAI guides Evelyn and Kiki took us all to a fabulous
restaurant nearby for lunch. They kept loading plates of every
imaginable dish onto our table until we were stuffed. Grace was
an angel and napped on the way home and then for another 2 hours
in the hotel room, while Tim took the boys swimming.
Today was a real turning point for Grace. She’s really come out
of her shell and laughs and talks, throws toys around, and
generally just acts like a big goofball (but a cute goofball).
She’s also begun warming up to Tim finally, letting him walk
with her and play on the bed. She’s able to walk with a little
help, but mostly still gets around by scooting herself around on
her rump.
We took it easy this evening, and just spent time up in the room
together.
We can’t tell you how much it means to us that you are following
us along on our journey, keeping us in your thoughts and
prayers. We can absolutely feel each one and thank you from the
bottom of our hearts.
All our Love,
Tim, Tammy, Tucker, Jonah, Phil, and especially Grace!! |
