Hi everyone!

We can’t believe that we’ve been home with our Caroline for a month already. We feel so blessed to be home with our little girl and we are so happy that she is settling in well into her new home. Not a day goes by that one of the five of us doesn’t remember something we miss about our trip. It was truly an amazing experience.

So much has happened in this short amount of time. Caroline celebrated Christmas with her family. She even attended Christmas Eve Mass. Santa was very good to Caroline and she has a great time playing with all of her new toys. Caroline has been grocery shopping, to Target, Costco and all sorts of fun stores. She loves her doggies and even shares her snacks with them. Caroline now gives kisses and hugs to the family, does “Caroline Mei is so big!” and says what we believe to be “Mama”. She loves to be tickled and walk around (with some support from the big kids). She started standing up this week on her own and has taken a few steps without holding onto anything!! Caroline’s personality is really coming through so we thought we’d list some things about her:

Caroline Mei loves:

Her doggies

Smiling

Her cozy fleece blanket

Playing Peek-a-Boo around furniture

Orange Juice

Laughing and giggling

Clementines

Bath time

Waving like a princess

Cookies

Being rocked to sleep

Baby Einstein

Grilled Cheese

Her Mama

Walking

Fridge magnets

Playing with the kids- getting chased by the kids

Drinking her baba with Daddy every morning while watching Wonder Pets

Blueberries

Riding in her stroller through Target

Caroline Mei does not love:

Sitting in the car seat

Bedtime

When Mama has to leave to walk the doggies

Sitting in the high chair

Caroline Mei loves a lot of things. She is truly a very happy little girl with a joyful personality. Every day is something new for her- another thing to learn and another milestone. We feel so lucky to be her family and to watch her take every new step. We are thankful for the memories we have made in the past few weeks and look forward to many more! Thank you for following our journey and continue to check in for updates!

Love,
The Stephens

The Gift of Life

I didn’t give you the gift of life,
But in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real,
As if it had been so.
For us to have each other
Is like a dream come true!
No, I didn’t give you the gift of life.
Life gave me the gift of you!
