Today we had a wonderful tour of The Forbidden City. I had
no idea how
large it was and the buildings are just spectacular! Our guide
bought
us a stroller yesterday which came in handy today with Spencer
since
there was a lot of walking.
After that we took a tour of a silk factory. It was very
interesting
and the kids enjoyed it. We only wish we had more time to shop,
but we
did buy Ellen a silk quilt for her crib-lucky baby!
Gramma and Babop are doing more sightseeing, attending an
acrobatics
show and then enjoying a Peking duck dinner. Jason and I decided
to take
the afternoon off and just relax with the kids in the hotel. We
have a
big day ahead of us tomorrow and we want everyone to be well
rested.
We watched a DVD and then found Baskin Robbins around the corner
for an
afternoon treat-yummy!
We learned from our guide that we will be going straight from
the
airport to the adoption center tomorrow. So we'll need to have
our diaper
bags packed and ready to go when we get on the plane. I can
hardly
believe that at this time tomorrow Ellen will be in our arms!
The first
thing the kids said this morning when they woke up was, "We get
Ellen
tomorrow!" Tomorrow is the big day...OK the excitement has
really set in!
Tomorrow...
