WISHING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO “MOM-MOM” ALL THE WAY FROM CHINA!!!
Today was an eventful one! We left at 9:30 a.m. for a 2-hour bus
ride to the Huangghou Waterfall in southwest Guizhou. All the
babies did
great! I guess we are preparing them for the 14.5 hour plane
ride home
in six days. The waterfall is absolutely breathtaking! It was
well worth
the trip. We were the only American people with Chinese babies
and all
the Chinese people were loving on the babies. They couldn’t
understand
why we had Chinese babies.
Jennifer and I have finished up our packing as we are taking our
flight to Guangzhou in the morning at 10:30 a.m. We must leave
the hotel at
8:00 as we need to be at the airport by 8:30. This is the last
stop of
the journey before heading home. Guangzhou is where we will
finish up
all the appointments and paperwork to bring this adoption
process to a
close. We will also be reunited with the six other families. I
am so
excited for Alivia to meet all her new friends. On Monday,
Alivia and her
friends will have their medical exams to clear them for travel
to the
U.S. And then on Tuesday, we have our U.S. Consulate
appointment. Jane
told us tonight at dinner that our guide will take all the
paperwork to
the Consulate and we must remain in our hotel room in case there
any
questions regarding each of the families paperwork. Please pray
for
things to continue to go smoothly and that everything is in
order as we take
these final steps. I am quite nervous about this week, as we
have come
this far and I don’t want anything to interrupt the process.
Continue to pray for all the babies both here and in Hunan, all
are
quite sick with coughs, fevers, and running noses as they trying
to
adjust to all the changes.
Thanks and God bless – Lisa |
