Today started out to be a very busy day with the itinerary we
received from our travel guide, Vanessa. We began at Tian'anmen
Square and
Forbidden City, then to the Pearl Factory, and Great Wall (yes,
we
attempted the climb - we went just far enough to have our
picture taken), and
then, lastly the Silk Factory. Every place we went was truly
amazing.
See the few attached pictures, they speak for themselves.
To my son, Doug serving in the USAF in England, there is a
picture of
the Forbidden City's military that I thought you might enjoy. I
pray
you are doing well. I miss you and love you very much. Can't
wait to see
you at Christmas as you and Alivia will meet for the first time.
Dinner tonight was China's famous peking duck. It was very good
with
many side dishes. All was wonderful!
We are totally exhausted from all the sightseeing and walking
and
walking and walking. Enjoyed every minute of it but will be very
glad to
get a good night's rest.
In the morning, we must be in the hotel lobby at 5:45 a.m. to
make it
to the airport for our flight to Guizhou to meet Alivia. We just
finished packing and wanted to share about our day. It is now
11:30 p.m.
Please continue to keep us your prayers especially for a
positive
bonding experience for all the families and good health. We have
a few in
our group who are sick with allergies and colds. 12 days and
counting
til we are home!
May you all have an AWESOME day in the Lord! God bless -
