The Wait
We submitted our adoption application on April 1, 2005 and China
received our adoption dossier on August 30, 2005. We received
our referral call for Chloe Jun Li on December 1, 2006.
Therefore, our wait from the date our dossier was logged in
China to our date of referral was 15 months.
December
2005
Being Floridians, we were lucky enough to go to Disney for
Thanksgiving and Christmas. Michelle, her mother Sheri, and Neil had a
very special dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse in Disney’s Yacht
Club resort on December 23, 2005.
Aside from the excellent food and ambiance, we noticed one
precious Chinese toddler playing at another table. We were
captivated by her happiness, as well as her ability to entertain
herself with two dinner rolls all night.
The dinner was one of our most memorable events of 2005.
Remarkably, we learned after our referral that Chloe Jun Li was
brought to her orphanage on that very same day. She was 1 day
old. |
