October 2006
October is one of our favorite months because of Neil’s
birthday. This year, October was even more special because we
traveled to Kentucky for Neil’s 20 year high school reunion,
enjoyed time with Neil’s family, and gave Michelle’s mother
Sheri a tour of Cincinnati, where we used to live.
One highlight was dinner with Neil’s father and brother at our
favorite restaurant, The Waterfront, overlooking the Cincinnati
skyline. Another very special part of our trip was to visit the
beautiful place where we first saw each other in 1997. This is
Keeneland, located amid rolling horse farms outside Lexington,
Kentucky.
To add to the excitement, we purchased a new mini van in
Kentucky. On our scenic drive home, we enjoyed the spectacular
fall colors of the Smokey Mountains, visited the impressive
Biltmore Estate, saw the University of Georgia, and visited
Sheri’s alma mater, Florida State University.
