WE HAVE A LOG-IN DATE!!
"All children come from God, for
some the journey home just takes a
little longer" - Unknown
Jia-Li's dossier was officially logged in at the CCAA on August
18th,
2006. This means that all the official paperwork that we have
collected has been received. On average it is about 70-90 days
from log-in
date until you receive TA--travel approval. At that point we
will get a
consulate appointment and then we go! This means that our
original
estimation of November-December still holds. Anna and Katie are
hoping to
spend their November 23rd birthday in China!
The school year has started for us. This year we are all in the
7th
grade with the exception of Drew. Katie and Anna are absolutely
LOVING
school and their teachers. They are on a very challenging team
and are
doing very well. Both girls have also joined the Art Club, the
Newspaper Club and Peer Counseling. Anna is on a travel soccer
team and
Katie is an alternate to the Student Council. Katie will also be
playing
soccer a little later in the year. We are SO proud of our
beautiful,
intelligent daughters!
Lesa's classes are very excited about their first hand account
of
China. We will be sharing this website with them when we travel
so they
can share this experience, they are excited to see Jia-Li and
also the
sights of China-in particular, any food that is "disgusting" to
them.
Jia-Li's 100 Good Wishes quilt is coming along. We now have over
50
squares and wishes, so we are well on the way to meeting our
goal. We
have very special wishes from right here at home to as far away
as
Australia. This will be a wonderful keepsake for our youngest
daughter.
Thanks for reading our latest, please sign our guest book!
