Today we went to the ancient household of the Chen family—a
wealthy, high-ranking family from many, many years ago. It was
incredibly beautiful!! Afterwards, we went to the pearl and jade
market. Of course, that was lots of fun, and we found some
wonderful jewelry!
The afternoon and evening was more shopping. There are so many
great shops all within walking distance of the White Swan. We
ate dinner with our friends Kathy, Mike, and Maddy at Lucy’s
Diner, a famous American restaurant just down from the hotel. We
had steak and fried chicken, and it was great!
We have really enjoyed every minute of our trip so far! What a
memorable two weeks and the best part of all—we get to bring
home the most precious little girl in the world!! We cannot wait
to get her home to meet you all! |
