Today was a very fun day! We went to an ancient district of
Chongqing and went shopping. We were able to buy some
traditional Chinese toys and clothes and lots of other
souvenirs. After shopping we went to eat at another great
Chinese restaurant! We are enjoying the food, but are missing
American food at the same time. Bria is a wonderful eater. We
have yet to find anything she won’t eat!! Today at the
restaurant, they had all kinds of fresh creatures you could
choose to order for lunch. Many of them we did not recognize,
but we did recognize the scorpions!!!! They eat scorpions here!!
It gave me chills just looking at them!
After naptime, we went shopping some more!! (see why I said it
was a very fun day!) We went to some shops around our hotel and
found several pair of cute shoes for Bria, but we could only
find one pair that would fit her now—her feet are TINY!!!!! We
also bought her a walker for the hotel playroom that is very
similar to the one she used at the orphanage. She went wild in
the walker—going everywhere!! We are starting to see why the
mission group described her personality as “spicy.” She is so
funny and into everything. She imitates her big brother all the
time—she really likes Kaden!
Bria definitely continues to blossom! She is much more verbal
today than before. She has babbled much more and says da, ba,
ma, na, and ga so far. It is amazing how much the precious girl
smiles. You can just look at her and she’ll give a smile. She
has a beautiful personality! We are so very blessed!!! |
So precious!
So fashionable!
