GOTCHA DAY!
If I had 1,000,000 words I couldn’t even begin to describe
today. We are completely overwhelmed with love not only for this
little girl but for all three of our children. We are so proud
of the family that we have become.
Miyah was a little scared at first and cried a little. She then
became very stoic and brave and didn’t show much emotion. By the
end of the day we had her laughing and playing!!
She has adjusted better than we thought and is even helping to
comfort some of the other babies as they grieve!
You can’t tell it from the pictures, but she’s pretty small. Not
undernourished, just petite. She’s wearing a 9 month sleeper
right now and it fits perfect. She is also one of the three most
beautiful babies I have ever seen!
We are all completely physically and emotionally drained – but
in a good way. I’m too tired to go into the play-by-play of the
day, but I think most of the pictures convey our thoughts and
emotions well.
Miyah just went down for the night – please keep your fingers
crossed that she sleeps well and continues to adjust smoothly
tomorrow.
