May 31, 2009 WE ARE IN GHANA!!!!! After 24 hours of traveling we made it safely to Accra at 7:00pm this evening (2:00pm Central time). Everything went perfect with all of our flights and for the long trip from Memphis to Amsterdam we had an empty seat next to us....I was so happy! The hotel we are staying at is beautiful and our room is about 75 feet from the ocean. We can hear the ocean inside our room and step out our door and there it is...beautiful ocean waves! We will post pictures tomorrow of the hotel since we arrived after dark today. We spoke with Romana a few minutes ago and we are going to go to Beacon House in the morning to see our PRECIOUS ABREE!!!! Words cannot describe how excited we are!!!! I hope we get a little bit of sleep tonight... James and I are also doing another small mission while we are here. We are going to perform eye exams on the children and workers at Beacon House tomorrow and likely finish up on Tuesday. I am excited to use the gift God has given me to help these amazing children and their caretakers. Pray for James as he begins his career as a "nurse" tomorrow.... We look forward to updating you tomorrow. It is going to be an INCREDIBLE day!!!
