This morning was very relaxing at the Guangzhou City Zoo. Brynn
and Libby wore their Jie Jie (big sister) and Mei Mei (little
sister) t-shirts--it was so cute! We went with just a small
group and a goal to see the panda bears! We succeeded!
Libby slept the entire time so at least I got some great pictures
for her to see someday. You can tell everyone's stamina is
slowing down though and the desire to be out of a hotel room is
kicking in. Once back to the hotel, it was lunch and naptime.
Are you starting to figure out the schedule?
In the evening we all went as a large group to a restaurant
called Tekila. I have never seen so many margaritas ordered so
fast. Something I noticed in China, is that meals are brought
out as soon as they're ready. Everyone gets their meal at a
different time. It all works out but just different. It was
funny on the bus after dinner, there was a symphony of tears
when one baby started crying and all followed.
We stopped briefly at the TV tower in Guangzhou. It was very
cool, and is in a part of town with tons of new skydcrapers, and
an outdoor stadium that was used for the Beijing games.
Libby continues to just be one of the gang. She's a great and
easy baby. I better not say it too loud, that can turn on a
dime. I can't believe how it feels like she's been with us
forever. That to me is most comforting, knowing she's right
where she belongs. I have prayed that God will protect her birth
parents from harm or sadness and give them peace about Libby. We
are truly grateful. |
