I think I should start off with how amazed I am at the love I
feel for this child. I innately feel like I've been her Mother
since the very beginning. It is very difficult to put in words
except I love the feeling of falling in love. That's the best
way I can describe what's happening here.
Today was a fun day filled with cultural education in a
beautiful backdrop called Teng Wang Pavillion. I am so glad we
were able to see this place to share with Libby what an amazing
culture she comes from. We climbed 6 floors of the tower to
learn all about the Teng Dynasty. There was a traditional
Chinese performance that we videotaped too. On the 5th floor we
could see the entire Nanchang city line and the entire Pavillion.
I'm in awe of the beauty.
Jenny then took us for authentic Nanchang cuisine. It was a
traditional Chinese meal with the large "Lazy Susan" filled with
tons of great food; dumplings, vegetables, bean sprouts, spicy
beef, fried rice, chicken skewers and steamed egg for the wee
ones. Libby slept through lunch in Jenny's arms while we ate
like little piggies. You know me with sodium and carbs...hard to
handle in large quantities.
After lunch it was back to the hotel. Brynn and I enjoyed giving
Libby a bath and took her for a walk (she hung out in my Ergo
carrier). We then just played on the bed and laughed just
enjoying her cuteness. She's VERY into Brynn and Jay and follows
their every move. It was funny when Jay worked on some tummy
time with her ending in a staring contest and Libby falling
asleep. Precious!
We feel so blessed we were chosen to be her parents. We are
loving that Brynn gets to see a glimpse of what parenthood looks
like with a baby! Now she knows why we love her so much it hurts
and why Libby is getting a big dose of the same! |
