Today was such a busy day! It’s so hard to describe where we
were, what we did and how it all happened, but at the end of it,
our adoption was finalized legally.
We started at the Civil Affairs office, to have Libby’s picture
taken with us. We also signed formal papers and had a brief
interview with an officer. We then received a gift of porcelain
and a formal certificate of her adoption! We got to take some
pictures with her “Aunties” from SWI Wanzai County, and they got
to say goodbye.
After that we went to the police station for her passport photos
and then off to the security office for a final interview. We
were whisked from one place to the other, with our guide (more
like our angel) Jenny to translate the entire time.
Saying we were tired after the afternoon was an understatement!
I think we were all asleep by 8pm for the night! Libby is
sleeping soundly through the night and is in a great mood! She
is so beautiful and seems to be settling in. |

A perfect photo opp before we start a busy day |
