Hello everyone! Today was our last full day in Guangzhou. This
morning we went to Shamian Island for some last minute shopping
and came back for our Consulate appointment. This should be the
last step and then we come home! After the appointment, we
stopped at the Garden Hotel which has the largest lobby in all
of China. Then we took a cruise on the Pearl River.
Unfortunately due to technical difficulties I was not able to
post the cruise pictures tonight but I will try tomorrow. We
cruised on the Pearl River- the third longest river in China
after the Yangtze and the Yellow Rivers. We had dinner on the
cruise and there was even a performance. Caroline is doing so
well. She is just blossoming right before our eyes.
Tomorrow is
our last morning in Guangzhou as we will take a train to Hong
Kong later in the day before flying home. We are all very happy
to be going home but it is hard to leave our trip behind. I will
try to post the cruise pictures tomorrow, but if not this might
be our last update from China. If so, we would like to thank you
for following our journey. Your messages on our guestbook page
have meant a great deal to us and we want to thank you for your
kind and supportive words.
