Hi everyone! Today we left Guangzhou in the afternoon. It was
hard to leave our trip behind, but it feels so good to be on our
way home. We took a train from Guangzhou to Hong Kong – it was
pretty long, but Caroline was very good the whole time. When we
arrived in Hong Kong, we were very happy to see our nice driver
waiting for us. We had a beautiful new luxury van and got to see
views of Hong Kong at night. There are lights all over- Hong
Kong is really a beautiful city. We were ecstatic to arrive at
our beautiful hotel. It is all decorated for Christmas.
When we arrived we were greeted at the door and taken in an
elevator to check in right away. While Dad checked in we all sat
in the third floor lobby where soothing Christmas carols were
playing and Cinnamon flavored candles were lit. Then we had an
added surprise of getting to be on the Executive Floor. The
hotel looks kind of like Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Our rooms
are beautiful!!!! When we walked in soothing Christmas music was
playing. There are ipod docks, flat screen tvs, wi-fi, and most
importantly fluffy soft beds. We welcome the comfort of this
beautiful hotel on our long journey home. After, we found out
that there is an indoor walkway to the airport terminal. We
walked through to acclimate ourselves for tomorrow. We love Hong
Kong airport! It is beautiful, decorated for Christmas, has
plenty of good things to eat, and fun stores to look in. We were
even able to check in early and get our boarding passes for
tomorrow so that we can wake up two hours later than we thought. |

We’re going home!!! |
All we have to do
is drop our baggage off and go to our flight. The best part is
that the wonderful people at our airline put our seats together
and gave us the bulk head area- that means more room for
Caroline Mei to play! Then, to top off such a wonderful evening
we got starbucks on the way back to the room. We are so happy
that everything went well this afternoon. It has been a long
trip and these little things may not seem like much, but they
make a world of difference to us.
Because we started our journey in Hong Kong, we feel much closer
to home here. Everyone is so nice and helpful. We are sad that
we don’t have more time here but we are anxious to go home. I
didn’t forget about the cruise pictures but unfortunately I was
not able to load that camera. I will try when we arrive home.
Caroline Mei is doing so very well. She laughs a lot and is very
happy to spend time with her family. Once again, we would like
to thank you for following our journey. Sorry for so few
pictures tonight, but we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.
Our next update will be from home!!! Until then, goodnight from
Hong Kong! |
