About Kaden
"An adopted child is not an
unwanted child; to the contrary...they are a child who was
searched for, prayed for, cried for, begged for; received by
arms that ached, making empty hearts full". ~Author Unknown

Kaden Qi Alcala was loved from the
first moment we saw his sweet little face. At that moment we
knew that this was our son...and that God, in his perfect
timing, answered our prayers.
"For this child I prayed, and the
LORD has granted me my petition which I asked of Him ". ~1 Samuel
1:27.
Kaden's given Chinese name chosen by his caretakers is Qi Chong
Guang. Qi (pronounced "chi", means "life force" or "energy").
Chong means "plenty"; and Guang means "light". He already has
brought so much life and light into our hearts with that
adorable smile and we haven't even met him yet.
Kaden was born with two congenital heart defects and struggled
to survive his first months of life. At two months of age, this
sweet little baby underwent open heart surgery and has been
thriving ever since. This is why we chose the name Kaden. It
means "Heart of a warrior".
Kaden has been described by his caretakers in the orphanage as
"ready to smile, sunshine, handsome, naughty and shy. They also
say he has a good appetite and is not choosy about food. Thank
goodness...knowing this family and everything we're willing to
try! We were told he loves music and going outside.
We recently were lucky enough to receive updated information and
pictures from the orphanage and found out that Kaden started
walking on his own and when asked what his favorite toys were,
they said that he loved building blocks and stacking cups.
We can't wait to meet you Kaden and bring you home to your
forever family...we're on our way!

"Kisses in the Wind"
(The waiting child's Lullaby)
I hold you in my heart and touch you in my dreams
You are here each day with me, at least that is how it seems
I know you wonder where we are...what's taking us so long
But remember child, I love you so and God will keep you strong
Now go outside and feel the breeze and let it touch your skin...
Because tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind
May God hold you in His hands until I can be with you
I promise you my darling, I'm doing all that I can do
Very soon, you'll have a family for real, not just pretend
But for tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind
May God wrap you in His arms and hold you very tight
And let the angels bring the kisses that I send to you each
night
