Drive to Knoxville and spend the night…
Jun/16 Monday
Depart Knoxville for Newark around 6:30 am
est
Depart Newark for Beijing …around 12:30 pm
est
Jun/17 Tuesday
We will arrive in Beijing around 2:00 pm
“china time” which is 2:00 am est YEAH! If we
are not too tired we will venture out and
check out the surrounding area. We are
arriving a few days earlier than our travel
group to take it ALL in.
Jun/18 Wednesday
In the morning, visit the Olympic stadiums
(Bird Nest, Water Cube) ; In the afternoon,
visit Liulichang and Yuanlong Guxiu Silk
Store.
Jun/19 Thursday
Forbidden City, Summer Palace tour &
Acrobatics Show at night.
Jun/20 Friday
Great Wall & Hutong Lane tour.
Jun/21 Saturday
Orientation Meeting and meet all our travel
mates...we already know 2 families and can't
wait to meet the others. Half day tour of
Tiananmen Square and Temple of Heaven after
group lunch
Jun/22 Sunday “Ellie Lu Day”
Arrive Nanchang just after 1:00 pm “china
time” 1:00 am est ...
The Moment we have waited a LIFETIME FOR…
at 4:30pm “china time” we will meet our
daughter Bo Juan…Ellie Lu in a meeting room in
the Gloria Hotel and OH what a GLORIUS
MOMENT IT WILL BE... (it will be 4:30 am
est)
7:00pm-8:00pm (“china time” 7:00 am est):
Paperwork meeting in Hotel Meeting Room
Mel will be on his own for the first time
with his baby girl…don't you know she will
just love her Daddy!

8:30am (“china time” 8:30 pm 6/22 est):
Adoption registration in C/A office and notary
interview in notary
office and other adoption process
Shopping for Children Supplies in the
afternoon at the local Walmart which I hear is
something else

Baby Bonding and local touring
**We will have several opportunities while
in the Nanchang and Guangzhou to tour and
shop, but primarily our focus will be on
bonding with Ellie Lu.

Baby Bonding and local touring

Jun/27 Friday
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY….9 years and now we are
a family of 3
Depart Nanchang mid day and arrive in
Guangzhou around 5:00 pm “china time” (5:00
am est)…travel to the White Swan Hotel…
