After a wonderful breakfast, we continued our adventure by
heading to the subway on our way to Ocean Park to see the Panda
bears. The park was amazing, wrapped around a mountain sitting
high atop the South China Sea.
Four sets of long, long escalators took us to the top of the
mountain where we rode the space needle and enjoyed breathtaking
panoramic views of the South China Sea. We saw many huge cargo
ships slowly starting their voyage across the ocean to America.
From there, we took an amazing cable car ride along the mountain
side and over the water to see the Panda bear exhibit. There, we
saw Jia Jia and An An. The male slept the whole time while the
female lumbered about and ate bamboo right in front of us! They
were so cute and we were overjoyed to see them.
We ended our day by taking the Peak tram almost vertically up a
mountainside to enjoy a magnificent view of Hong Kong and the
harbor. Hopefully you can see those photos soon!
Today (Tuesday morning), we are off to see the Big Buddha and we
hope to upload the photos later this evening or tomorrow from
Guangzhou. We will meet Chloe in only two days!! We cannot
wait!! |
