IT'S DONE!!!

All her paper work went in today, and according to Emma, everything is done!

Tomorrow morning, we go to the Jade & Pearl market in the morning, and then we go to the consulate and SWEAR HER IN!!! I can't believe it. Even though it is all happening, sometimes it is hard to believe we are actually going through this for real.

Elly woke up a happy baby this morning. It all went well until late afternoon. I think her tummy aches, but I can't tell. And she cries whenever she is not being pushed on the stroller. She ends up crying alot over that.

Emma took us to the market place just over the river. It was interesting. And so very native. There were booths of medicine galore. I have never seen so many types of mushrooms. I suppose the Chinese think "just find the right mushroom and you are good to go." I am not a mushroom fan. OH! And in the picture here, my mom was showing Samuel all the things one can buy to eat, like dried roaches, crispy scorpions, sea horses, starfish, turtle on a stick, and if you look on the wall, dried snake.

Samuel about passed out.

And there were people selling puppies, bunnies & tiny kittens in laundry baskets in the middle of the street.. As pets, don't worry. My mom wanted to buy one, and Samuel wanted to buy them all. Elly freaked out when she saw them. Huh. They did tell us that she was afraid of them. She is in for a small shock as she will have to get used to our 3 dogs, 2 cats and the bunny.

Quote of the Day: John, looking at Elena while she sleeps, "She looks like an eskimo."

Look who woke up happy.

Samuel just realized what h was looking at.
See the snake on the wall?

It is so cold out here.
Thursday, when we leave it is suppose to go back to the 70s, like normal.
