DAY TWO

Hi everyone! I had to attach this photo of a pork sandwich we had for lunch yesterday, it’s pretty funny! Last night we went to a great Chinese restaurant and sat outside and ate dinner right on the Pearl River . Every tree was illuminated and there were lanterns lit in all of the trees. Between the lights of the city, the river boats and the music, it was awesome! Our appetizer arrived with Steve’s dinner. We finished eating and were ready for our bill and them my food came – no rhyme or reason when it comes to serving food! Everything at night is lit up in neon, including all the buildings. Some even have laser shows on them.

This morning we took a tour with Peter our guide. Peter is great! He has a great personality and sense of humor! We went to the Guangzhou Liurong Temple, a museum, an ancient park, a porcelain factory and to a huge shopping district. Yes, we shopped!! The shopping district was wild!! There were people everywhere and I am talking thousand’s of people! We came to the hotel and went to Lucy’s for burgers (Yeah!!). We ordered a drawing for Jae Lyn with all significant symbols on it such as lady bugs, bamboo, panda and her name in American and in Chinese. We made fast friends with a group of girls that work at A Home of Love shop outside of our hotel – we’ll definitely be back with the baby. Everyone in the shops remember your name and the year your baby was born – really nice. Most people are very friendly and some look confused when they see us.

Tomorrow our flight to Nanchung leaves at 3:30 and we arrive at CAB at 4:30 to receive our babies. We won’t even have time to check into the hotel first! The countdown begins!! Next update will be from Gotcha Day!

We miss you all!

With love, from China
