Lots of excitement today!
RED COUCH PHOTO DAY~ It is a tradition for families to have
their children’s photos taken on the famous red couches at the
White Swan Hotel.
Today we traveled with our group to the US Consulate office in
Guangzhou. We had a visa appointment for Evie and her
citizenship oath-taking ceremony. We were not able to photograph
this event because cameras are not allowed in the Consulate.
Maddie was holding Evie during the oath ceremony and after the
oath was given, Evie gave Amy and high 5…very cool! Evie will
receive her passport and visa on Friday just before we travel to
Hong Kong. Evie will become an official citizen of the United
States when we touch down at O’Hare on Saturday.
Our group ate at a very nice Chinese restaurant on the 3rd floor
of the White Swan Hotel. We watched the chef make homemade
noodles and everyone thought it was the best Chinese food they
had eaten this week. |
All dressed up!
