Today was another very early day. We opened Starbucks, in order to get our coffee and breakfast in before Juliette's medical at 9:30 am. We have gotten to know the Starbucks staff here very well, as we are usually the first people in, and order the most things. By now they have gotten used to us using all their "dairy" and Juliette fussing while we eat. We are still perplexed at their nametags however, and are not sure they understand American names. In Beijing we met a Barista who's nametag said "Latte," and here in Guangzhou we've had a "Ken," "Kiwi," and "Blonde!"

Once we finished breakfast, we met our guide at 9 in our hotel lobby and headed off to the medical. Juliette was very upset through the whole thing, and Caroline worried about what the doctors were doing to "her baby" the whole time. The doctors gave us some ideas to help Juliette go potty since we think her fussiness is due to tummy issues. We left the medical in pouring rain and headed to Six Banyan Temple for Juliette's blessing. We stepped inside, where a Monk kindly put away his iPhone to give the blessing. We took a few pictures and got back in the car, all too glad to be out of the rain.

We got back to the hotel at about 12:30 and Juliette had a nap. Caroline has been quite the big sister, that she watches "My Little Pony" while Juliette naps instead of napping herself! During Juliette's nap, Ryan had the front desk fix our Wifi problem in the rooms so we could use our computers without trouble. When she woke up, it was time to go to Lucy's for our usual grilled cheese, fries and onion rings for dinner. She won't let anyone sit down while holding her yet, but we've discovered that she's quieter when being occupied with food she likes! We have discovered a list of new foods Juliette is very partial to: Starbucks blueberry muffin pieces, congee, grilled cheese pieces, french fry pieces, and apple juice.

Tomorrow is a free day, as it is the first of the three holiday days here in China for the mid-autumn moon festival. We will probably walk around Shamian Island and do some shopping tomorrow since we have no appointments.

Goodnight from Guangzhou!
