Trip to China
All Days  |  Previous Day  |  Next Day

This morning we were able to sleep in! Even though I still woke up relatively early, it was great not having to get up and get going ASAP. We went down to breakfast at about 8:30 so we would have time to eat before having to be up in our room from 9:00 - 10:00AM. That was the time when our guide had our appointment at the US Consulate and we needed to be available by phone just in case there was a problem with our paperwork. Thankfully during this time, our phone did not ring! So tomorrow we should be receiving Jude's visa and the next day we are homeward bound!

Our group met at 12:00 for our 'red couch' picture, which happened to be right in the middle of Jude's nap. Needless to say, he wasn't in the best frame of mind for picture taking. When we arrived the other kids from our group were all already sitting on the couch and when I went to place Jude down in between two of them, he flatly refused. So Jude had his own red couch photo shoot. Tori was able to get a lot of adorable pics of him, so many I had to post numerous for today's entry. We were hoping to get just one of him with the hat on, but it ended up being a wonderful prop that helped us get some great smiles out of him. Of course, it doesn't take too much effort to get a smile out of our happy boy!

The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping and trying to tie up some loose ends. We've got the day tomorrow, but we also have our Consulate visit and then need to pack, so our time is definitely starting to get short here. We made our last visit to the Cow and Bridge with our good friends Ann and Mark and Ann's beautiful daughter, Emma. It was sad to realize we won't be seeing them anymore after tomorrow. We've had such an amazing time in China, so many laughs and incredible memories.

Today is a very special day in our family, it's Miss Isabelle's official birthday! We did celebrate her big day early, before we left for China, but this missing part of the family wanted to give our girl a big shout out from China... "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLE!!" We love you so much and can't wait to get home and cover you with hugs and kisses!
