We had a wonderful day together here, on our final day in
China. We took our “oath” today, along with about 30 other
families from the U.S. and now have Ellie’s visa, allowing us to
bring her home. As soon as she steps onto American soil in
Houston on Thursday, she will become an American Citizen. We
can’t begin to tell you how excited we are to finally board that
plane tomorrow morning bound for HOME! What a thrill it will be
to introduce you to Ellie! Every day we see more and more of her
little personality…She is absolutely precious! We feel so
incredibly blessed to have been entrusted with another treasure
from China and will never cease to be amazed at God’s beautiful
gift, specifically designed for OUR family!!!
Even now, we are frantically packing and trying to get to bed
for a few hours of sleep before our 4:49 AM wake up call. Our
flight leaves China at 8:20, bound for Tokyo. Then after a few
hours there, we will board our Continental flight headed home!!!
Please, please pray for us…It will be a long journey home with
two toddlers, but every mile is a mile closer to YOU! We arrive
in Houston (at Concourse E) at 1:55 PM and look forward to
seeing our family and friends there when we arrive!!!
Thanks for following our journey to bring Ellie home! This has
been a wonderful way to stay “close” to family and friends back
home, though we are half a world away. We are also so grateful
for the support we have felt in your prayers and kind comments
posted here. The Lord has poured out measureless grace on us,
and a website can not do it justice, but we are grateful to have
shared even a small part of this journey with YOU!
We look forward to posting again after “bringing Ellie home”…
Sarah’s Tip of the Day-
Never, ever, ever, ever, ever (not enough evers!) wait
until 6 hours before leaving China to START packing!!! :)
