I am thrilled to report that today was absolutely wonderful from
everyone’s point of view… everyone, that is, except Ellie, who
had to endure her adoption medical exam, much to her
displeasure. Otherwise, the day could not have been better. And
much to Mommy’s delight, we didn’t even have one episode where
Ellie cried for Daddy. She was a joy to be around all day and
she appeared to enjoy all of us as much as we enjoyed her. Then,
this afternoon, she started repeating words for Sarah...like
Daddy, Mommy, Jie-Jie (big sister), Kate, and Ching-Ching
(kiss). Just before dinner she topped off the day by lunging
toward Mommy to be held… I was more than delighted to oblige!!!
:) She seemed so much more relaxed and happy today, and we
finally got a glimpse of what our “real” Ellie is like. She is a
living doll, matched only by her big sister- Kate.
It is hard to believe that we first met Ellie a week ago today!
Let’s just say that the week, in memory, is quite a blur, and
one of the more difficult of our adult lives. But the fruit we
are beginning to see was worth the wait! We feel blessed beyond
words to have received such a gift from the Lord again! We look
so forward to introducing her to all of you that have so
faithfully covered her in prayer… She has no idea how the hand
of the Lord has covered her, protected her, provided for her,
and kept her for this day. But she will grow up hearing the
incredible stories of God’s faithfulness on her behalf…
Sarah’s Tip of the Day-
Potty trips are advised before cheer practice in the pool…
NO, it’s not really as it appears...but you never know! |
