It is amazing and it is all over the news!!! Beijing had the biggest snow storm in 60 years this past weekend! Schools are closed and they re asking people NOT to drive because it is so bad.

And we saw it all with our own eyes!

And it caused us to move our Gotcha Date...to tomorrow.

We landed at Nanning at 1:50 and there was just no way it was going to happen. Only to find Emma, was this guy holding a sign with our last name on it. It wasn't Emma, it was the driver who spoke NO English. Emma is still stranded at Beijing. She is having someone else come tomorrow and get us to where we need to be to do what we need to do.

And hopefully she will meet us at Guangzhou. Hopefully.

And so, we went from negative ridiculously cold, to melting. In 3 hours.

Nanning reminds me of El Salvador. Except the people are Chinese and we can't read/write/say a word. OH, and I think we have the word "sucker" on our forehead.

Samuel had his melt down today. We are taking turns. It is workin' out so much better when we take turns rather then all together.

ANYWAY, tomorrow, 9am, Lord willing, we will meet our daughter. And I have to say, I am terrified. Maybe it is the lack of sleep. Maybe it is the reality. Maybe it is the fact that the couple here who adopted have this adorable little girl, who cried all afternoon, and finally fell asleep of exhaustion. lol.

Either way, this is it!!

When I figured out we wouldn't make our Gotcha Day today, this peace came over me. Weird, I know. But I think God gave me this night, to sleep. To get emotionally and mentally, and specially spiritually ready. And that wasn't happening at the airport.

I leave you with the quote of the day:
My mom, who has never been to China, talking to the driver who doesn't know a word of English "This isn't the right turn!!"

Samuel put his slippers on and made himself at home.

John, Samuel and my mom sleeping.

Arriving at Nanning Airport.

The lady driving her motor cycle next to us WITH HEELS
and then cut us off and our driver almost ran her off.
And no one blinked an eye!
Except of course the Americans in the car almost passed out.

View from Nanning from our hotel window.
cool streets in Nanning.
