Well, I'm posting a little earlier today because we will be
spending most of the late afternoon at the US Consulate. Today
we take our oath. We are being told by Grace & Maggie that is is
"very easy." I sure hope so.
Last night we took our Red Couch photos. It was fun chaos. It
really is a wonderful experience to see all of these children
connected with their "forever families." Lilli was a little
overwhelmed and was not easy to make smile. But, we made it
through!
After the pictures, we went to eat at a restaurant right outside
the White Swan on the Pearl River. We sat under these huge
banyan trees with the lights and Chinese lanterns hanging from
the branches. It was very relaxing and nice. Ordering from a
menu with waiters and waitresses that don't speak english is an
experience in and of itself. They kept bringing food out to us,
and I kept looking at Sean saying "Did we order this?!" It was
really humorous. I ordered (I thought) some fresh watermelon
juice for Lilli. Boy, did she get a set up! The drink came out
looking like a Margaritaville Boat drink complete with umbrella!
Again, everyone here is so nice and friendly. After all of the
food, we ended up spending only about $30 US dollars. It is so
inexpensive.
We continue to contribute to the local economy by shopping
whenever we have a chance. It is nice getting to know the shop
owners and they do appreciate our spending money in their
stores! I say, whatever we can do to help...that's how I roll!
That's all for now. I can't believe we are close to heading
home. Can't wait to see everyone, especially a handsome little
man named Logan! |

Cute as can be!

group. He is a cutie and Kelly's first child. Little did she
know, Max just started walking and he is an active little boy!) |
