We have had a nice day off. We have been able to do a little
sight-seeing and shopping. We left our hotel around 9:30 am and
visited a Buddhist Temple here in Guangzhou (I believe the
oldest in the province). The Buddhist monk performed a blessing
ceremony for the babies. Our CCAI guide Grace told us that the
Monks perform this ceremony to because they are thankful that
the babies have found loving homes.
We also visited a very old Chinese home called the Old Chen
House. This house was taken by the government and now houses
beautiful pieces of art for the public to view.
The last stop of the tour was a reputable shopping area. All I
can say is that I am happy to see our group contribute so
eagerly to the local economy!
Tonight we will meet and walk about 5 minutes from our hotel to
a Thai restaurant. We are looking forward to the dinner. Lilli,
of course, is doing very well. As we speak, she is screeching
and giggling. Her parents are very funny for some reason.
Hope everyone is doing well. Not much longer and our feet will
hit American soil! |

Ready for the day.

I couldn't resist a picture of the belly!
Logan knows how much I
love bellies! |
