Hi Everyone!
Today was group tour day in Hong Kong. We met our CCAI group
around 9:00 am and traveled via tour bus to several locations
around Hong Kong. We visited Stanley Market for some shopping.
We bought a few things, but I am sure there will be a lot more
shopping in the next few days! We visited a jewelry factory, the
Aberdeen fishing village and Victoria Peak. We really enjoyed
Victoria Peak. At the top of Victoria Peak there is an amazing
view of Victoria Harbour. It is still hard to believe we are in
Hong Kong.
After all of the touring, our CCAI rep, Matthew, took us to a
great restaurant for a chinese dim sum lunch. We had a ton
(literally, a ton!) of food served family style. We have been
able to meet so many different people, all here to adopt one of
these beautiful children. We have one lady in our group that was
surprised to learn that she was matched with a little boy. She
said that she has been visiting every consignment shop around
her area to drop off little girl clothes and swears she will be
sending everyone some in the mail!
I have also learned from someone in our group who is here for
their 4th adoption to expect that it could take Lilli Kate a day
for every hour in the air coming home to recoup from jetlag.
They have found it to be true for each child they have adopted.
I guess we will see. It may take me that long as well!
We are back in our hotel room resting up. I think we will take
it easy tonight. Tomorrow is going to be an exciting, but long
and hectic day. Tomorrow we leave the hotel around 8:00 am to
board a flight to Nanchung (China). We will meet Lilli tomorrow
... Finally! It is hard to believe.
Logan, I have included a picture of two pekingnese pups we saw
in a shop today. We have seen Pekingnese dogs everywhere. They
are adorable. Winston would feel right at home here. We will
post later and let you know all about Lilli Kate! Love. |
