We finally made it. What a trip! Sean and I left the Atlanta
Airport on the 12th around 2:00 p.m. and finally landed in Hong
Kong, after a 1 hour delay at the gate in Tokyo, at
approximately 11:30 pm on the 13th.
Gotta love Delta Airlines! Not only did they provide free
positive space tickets to us, including Lilli Kate's own seat
coming back to Atlanta, we were lucky enough to fly business
class the entire way to Hong Kong! That, my dear family and
friends is the ONLY way to fly to Hong Kong. Unfortunately it
will not be the ONLY way we fly back - coach or bust for us on
the way back with baby! It was great while it lasted! And,...
for those of you who really know me, I love airplane food and
hotels! To quote Logan Smith, "It is a great day!"
While you guys are all sleeping, Sean and I are out and about
the sights and smells of Hong Kong. This is a really cool,
tropical city with lots of stores and entertainment. And...no
morning would be complete without a stop at Starbucks. Yep,
right around the corner and I can still order a "grande
sugar-free vanilla soy chai tea latte". They did not even blink
an eye.
I guess that is all for now. Our CCAI rep. Joanna said this is a
busy day for her with 17 pickups at the airport for our group.
We are glad we got a headstart so that we can get settled and
see the town. Tomorrow we will have a group city tour. It should
be fun to start meeting some of the other families.
Love to everyone. Miss you Logan and we will see you soon. I've
posted some general pictures of flying over Tokyo, sleepy Sean,
breakfast in Hong Kong (wonderful!!!) and around our hotel.
Talk to you soon! |
