Today we did some sightseeing with a visit to the Chen Clan
Academy and Guangdong Folk Arts Museum. The Chen Clan Academy is
a local ancestral hall. This ancestral hall building was built
in the late 1800’s. The academy features decorative arts of the
folk architecture in the Guangdong province. All the buildings
are decorated with wood carving, brick carving, stone carving,
lime sculpture, ceramic sculpture, iron casting, and colored
drawings.
Evie is showing us more each day. Today she started walking for
us! Maddie and Evie also played ball on the bed. Evie loves to
get out of the room and go. She is always singing when we head
down the hall way or walking around inside/outside the hotel.
For supper we had a delicious meal inside a train car at a
French restaurant on the island.
“For this child I prayed, and the Lord granted me what I
asked of him.”
