Today was a very nice day. Grace was feeling a little better so
we decided to join our guide Shirley and friends and go to the
park. It was about a 15 minute drive from our hotel to the park
and it was nice to get away from the hotel and our room for a
while. Samantha loved the park, it had some cute rides and lots
of pretty flowers and weeping willow trees. We decided to take
the stroller along but Grace decided right away she did not like
it. She prefers to be carried by her daddy and Paul is more than
willing to do whatever it takes to make Grace happy. Everywhere
we go people gather around and stare at us and smile. Shirley
says they understand we are adopting and it makes them happy the
babies will have a loving family. We spent about 2 hours at the
park and came back to the hotel and had lunch.
The lobby is decorated with eggs that have been colored with
designs and they are hanging on a tree. Small little chic’s and
bunny rabbits are in the lobby in a pen for the girls to play
with. Samantha and her friend Emma also were able to decorate
some eggs and it was fun watching them paint and play with the
bunnies.
Tomorrow we are going to Tengwang Pavilion and do some local
shopping. I want to pick up a few things from Nanchang to bring
home as a memory. Thursday is our last full day in Nanchang.
Grace’s passport will be ready to be picked up and we will be
free to travel with her on Friday to Guangzhou. Nanchang to
Guangzhou is about 1 hour and 20 minutes by airplane. This will
be Grace’s first plane ride and hopefully she will enjoy it.
Tonight we are planning on doing what we have been doing the
past few nights, watching TV ,playing cards and talking to our
family and friends on Skype.
We cannot wait for you to meet Grace. She has taken over as the
“boss of the family” even Samantha has given in to her every
whim.
Paul and I are hoping Samantha can stay awake till 8pm tonight
so she will not get up at 4 am like she has the past few
mornings. Everyone is still off with sleeping and we are so
exhausted with having to get up every few hours with Grace. We
are not complaining she is soooo worth it, wait till you meet
her you will see how blessed we are. Goodnight from Nanchang..
P.S. Happy Birthday to our nephew Ryan, hope you had a great
day!! |
