Our Story
It has been a
very long ….. journey!
Paul and I started the paperwork to adopt our daughter in
January of 2006. Yes, four years ago. At that time the wait to
be matched with your child was approximately 8-12 months. With
our log in date of June 28, 2006 still being over 2 months away
and China sending out less referrals out each month we decided
to open our hearts to the special needs program.
This is how we were introduced to our daughter and Samantha's
sister Grace...
We received an email from Wendy who works at Gladney our
adoption agency which read "CALL ME !!!!, CALL ME!!!!." She has
a little girl. She wants Paul and I to look over her file and
pictures and get back to her right away. After 4 years of
waiting we see her picture for the first time and I immediately
burst into tears, she is sooooo beautiful. Born with a 2nd
degree cleft lip put her on the special needs list. We both knew
instantly without a doubt she was our daughter. |
