Monday, December 7, 2009 GOTCHA DAY! This morning we walked around the city for the first time. There are lots of little shops and the streets are all decorated with lanterns. At 1:00 we left with another family to go the Guangzhou Center of Adoption. It was very crowded and there were many families receiving their babies today. Within five minutes of us walking into the room, Caroline was brought over to us. She never cried and she smiled within the first few minutes of us holding her when Daddy tickled her feet. She is very cute and petite and she loves to be held and cuddled. She was asleep before we left the building and slept the whole ride back to the hotel on the bus. When we got back to the hotel Mommy gave her a bath and she put on her bunny pajamas. She loved her bowl of oatmeal cereal and drank her bottle very well. She even tried some fruit puffs. She is a very content baby and loves to play with everything- mostly things that are not actually toys, such as Mommy’s glasses. We are having a lot of fun playing with her and just watching her do things. She played while we had pizza for dinner in our room and she is now asleep on Daddy’s shoulder listening to her lullaby tape while we write this. We are so happy that she seems happy to be with us and hopefully things will continue to go as smoothly as they have. Goodnight from Guangzhou
